Diverse student involvement across the whole university has been essential to the successful creation of a team of student engineers (architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical), computer scientists, energy specialists and business undergraduates. This diversity has been instrumental in the first phase of design.
The design process will be collaborative between students, faculty and industry professionals to accelerate our vision. Beginning with a series of events that have been held in June 2019, development of key concepts and strategies are emerging alongside recognition of the project. Interest from companies and universities offering a wide variety of specialism including solar energy, low carbon materials and IT and data solutions; all of which ignite inspiration with participants.
